Ojai Women's Healing Retreat
May 18-21, 2017
The Return to Zero Ojai Women's Healing Retreat will be hosted at a private estate located in the beautiful and serene Ojai, California, just an hour north of Los Angeles, May 18-21, 2017. Ojai is nestled in a valley that makes you feel physically nurtured and comforted. It is a very special place for the deep work we will be doing.
Attendees of our previous healing retreats have said the experience was spiritually transformative. Please read our Testimonials and Vision statement if you haven't already. We do hope that you will join us!
Ojai is know by some as Shangri-La. The wonderful climate of the Ojai Valley has drawn many visitors from around the world who wish to rejuvenate their health with the warm, dry air, and never-ending sunshine.
It is also a large creative community, home to many artists and entrepreneurs.
We have chosen this location for our healing retreat because of its physical beauty and healing energy.
Dr. Kiley Krekorian Hanish is a bereaved mother and occupational therapist living in Los Angeles. She is interested in the transformative aspects of grief, specifically how storytelling, meaningful activities, experiences, and the environment contribute to healing.
Kiley and her husband Sean are creators of the film Return to Zero starring Minnie Driver and Paul Adelstein. It is based on their personal experience of their son Norbert, who was stillborn, and is the first movie to tackle the taboo subject of stillbirth.
Dr. Ivy Margulies is a clinical psychologist in Los Angeles specializing in maternal mental health, including stillbirth, miscarriage, infertility, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, and newborn loss. You can read more about Ivy at her website Angels Born Still.
She brings mindfulness, ritual, and sacredness to the retreat, allowing us to deepen our connection to ourselves, our babies, and others in the group.
This private home in Ojai is comprised of a main house and two tea houses, all with shared bedrooms. There is a large covered patio with outdoor fireplace, which is perfect for late-night chats.
The Main House has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 13), each with an in-suite designer bathroom and French doors that lead out to the patio area and look out to the gardens.
The tea houses each have 2 beds and are similar to cabins, but do not have bathrooms. There is a bathroom and shower in the yoga studio.
There is the wonderful opportunity to soak up the beauty, unwind, and relax in a salt water hot-soak pool and cold-plunge pool, which is available for year-round enjoyment.
All of your meals will be prepared by a private chef, who uses high quality, local and organic ingredients to offer an array of delicious and nutritious options at every meal. At this retreat, people may go through a certain depth of processing, and our goal is to provide food and caring service that is supportive of this.
The chef is able to cater for special needs and dietary requirements, making sure every retreat participant is cared for so they can relax and enjoy the retreat without any food apprehensions.

Friends and family are often eager to support you in the healing process but don’t know how to do so. This can be a great way for them to acknowledge and participate in a meaningful way.
If you are planning to crowd-fund, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we save you a spot!
