Catherine, spreading HOPE for Aanya

Ambassador Catherine Dhote, fundraising in memory of Aanya

“My first pregnancy was diagnosed after 12 weeks with having alobar holoprosencephaly. I really struggled in making the decision to meet my baby earlier, to end her pain and suffering had we waited full term but not our own pain. So on July 23, at 23 weeks we met our baby girl. It was the most precious time of my life to have met her, hold her, cuddle her, kiss her. It was the worst when eventually we had to leave the hospital without her.”

If you would like to make a contribution to Catherine’s fundraiser in honor of Aanya, here are the programs and initiatives your money goes towards:

  • Sponsorship for virtual support groups and in-person retreats

  • Outreach and education for healthcare providers

  • Peer and community support

  • Empowering resources for bereaved families and their loved ones
